This book is about a kid playing hide and go seek, but hides in a hidden closet and leads to a snowy place. The snowy place is called is Wild Lands of the North. then the kid finds a carriage with a witch in it, but looks like a princess. The witch takes the child to her castle and the child has a bad feeling of going in the castle. She finds her brother as a slave about to be killed. the child screams for help, but no one came.
